Policies and Regulations

Goals of the Club
  • To promote communication skills of students and help in team work, ability to speak and emote before an audience thereby increasing the emotional quotient of the students.
  • To inculcate among students a flair for English language and enhance their literary skills.
  • To promote the ability to organize and analyse the available resources and adopt technological advancements to present ideas creatively and artistically.
  • To encourage students become orators to display their intellectual and independent thinking skills and imbibe a sense of confidence.
  • To induce reading habit in students.
  • To provide a platform for debating events.
  • To improve and encourage creative writing.
  • To strengthen healthy relationship among the students of the Department.
  • To conduct competitions for literary events like Debates, Elocution, Extempore, Poetry writing. Essay writing and Group discussions.
  • To conduct inter and intra departmental literary events in the college.
  • To encourage students to attend literary events outside the college.
Memberships
  • All the students on the rolls of the BA ENGLISH Classes during a year shall be eligible to be members of the Club.
  • When a shadent is removed from the rolls of the College the student shall automatically cease to be a member of the Association.
  • The teaching staff of the Computer Stabes department shall automatically be members of the Association.
Administration
  • The administration of the Association shall vest in an executive committee, hereinafter referred to as the Committee, elected for the purpose.
  • The Committee shall consist of:
    • A President
    • Vice President
    • A Secretary
    • Treasurer elected from among the members
    • Two co-ordinates from each class maintaining the representation from boys and girls
    • One department coordinator from the teaching staff
  • The term of office of the Committee shall be for one year (the year for the purpose shall be the calendar year)
  • A Committee once elected shall continue to hold office till a new committee assumes charge.
Powers and responsibilities of the Executive Committee

Subject to the approval of the General Body of the Club the Committee shall have the following powers. To manage all affairs of the Association, to incur and meet all necessary expenses and do all such acts as are not inconsistent with these rules,

  • To enlist members.
  • To hold meetings of the Committee at least once in a term or oftener if deemed necessary
  • To periodically check the registers and the other records of the Association and to scrutinize the statement of accounts.
  • To scrutinize the annual report, the audited statement of accounts for the year and budget proposed for the ensuing year are to be placed before the General Body.
  • To implement all decisions taken by the General Body.
  • To suggest amendments to any of the existing rules and to frame new rules for considerate of the General Body.
Activities
  • The Club should conduct periodical activities for the students to meet the goals of the club
  • The club shall conduct minimum of 8 programmes in an academic year that consist outreach programmes and extension programmes.
  • The periodical report and other documentation shall submit to the IQAC whenever it is asked for.

ക്രീയേറ്റീവ്  ആൻഡ് അക്കാഡമിക്  റൈറ്റിംഗ്  വർക്‌ഷോപ്....
പി.ജി  ഡിപ്പാർട്മെന്റ്  ഓഫ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ,ഇങ്ക്ജെൺ ക്ലബ്  വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്കായി 'ക്രീയേറ്റീവ് ആൻഡ് അക്കാഡമിക്  റൈറ്റിംഗ്  വർക്‌ഷോപ്' സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു .  സോഷ്യൽ സയന്റിസ്റ്റും   എഴുത്തുകാരിയും ആയ ഡോ .ബിൻസി മരിയ  വിൻസെന്റ്   ക്ലാസ്സുകൾക്ക് നേതൃത്വം  നൽകി.

ലൈബ്രേറിയനുമായി ഒരഭിമുഖ സംഭാഷണത്തിലൂടെ വിദ്യാർഥികൾ.

 നവജ്യോതി: നവജ്യോതി കോളേജ് ലൈബ്രേറിയൻ ബിന്ദു സെബാസ്റ്റ്യനുമായി ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വിഭാഗം മൂന്നാം വർഷ ബിരുദ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ അഭിമുഖ സംഭാഷണം നടത്തി.'ചാറ്റ് വിത്ത് ലൈബ്രേറിയൻ' എന്നതിലൂടെ ബിന്ദു സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ വിദ്യാർഥികൾക്കും അധ്യാപകർക്കും ഒരു ലൈബ്രറിയുടെ തുടക്കം എങ്ങനെ എന്ന ആശയത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അറിവുകൾ നൽകി. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വിഭാഗം ലൈബ്രറിയുടെ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തലുകൾക്ക് ഉപകാരപ്രദമാകും വിധമാണ് ലൈബ്രേറിയന്റെ അഭിമുഖം. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ സംശയത്തെ പരിഹരിച്ച് നൽകാനും ഈ പരിപാടിയിലൂടെ ലൈബ്രേറിയിന് സാധിച്ചു. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വിഭാഗം  എച്ച് ഒ ഡി ആതിര സി വി, അധ്യാപകർ നമിത മാത്യു, കരോളിൻ മരിയ എന്നിവർ പരിപാടിക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നൽകി.
